What you’ll be doing as a fruit picker
As a Fruit Picker in Canada, the following are some of the tasks and responsibilities you’ll be required to fulfil daily;
- Picking and harvesting of fruits and vegetables
- Adhering strictly to established policies and procedures of the establishment
- Work with other crew members to provide a conducive work environment
- Sorting and packing of fruits on the farmland
- Movement of harvested fruits and produce to the trucks
- Loading and offloading of harvested fruits from trucks
- Proper operation, care, and maintenance of tools and machinery
- Focus on the development and expansion of the farm
- Respond to requests, concerns, and inquiries of customers
- Perform all other duties as directed by the supervisor
What’s required of you?
In order to be considered by one of the employers in the country as a fruit picker, the following prerequisite qualifications and skills must be duly met
- Applicant must have a minimum of high school diploma
- Applicant must be demonstrate having previous knowledge working in related position
